Rivers Election: Reports of Shooting and Brutal Killings Hit the Media.

Many probably didn't expect less from the much bloodied Rivers South East Senatorial District re-run that has been accompanied with the deaths of prominent members of the two major contending parties; The All Progressive Congress and People's Democratic Party. 

The election which held today has been trailed with lots of reports of shooting and killings.

According to Vanguard: There is a heavy shooting in Gokana Local Government Area RAC centre in Rivers State. Some unknown gunmen invaded the centre and started shooting sporadically. Vanguard cannot ascertain the number of casualties as voters and part officials scampered to safety. At the time of this report, security operatives have arrived the scene.
Naij.com also reports: One person has been reported dead in the on-going Rivers rerun election as two other persons have sustain various degrees of injuries. According to pictures emerging on micro blogging social network, Twitter, Tambari Ntoto was shut dead by suspected thugs but the PDP has alleged that the APC is responsible for death of the man who the party claimed to be its ward agent in ward 3, Nonwa in Tai LGA.
Also, a PDP ward agent in Etche was brutalize by the military. The re-run election is expected to take place in three senatorial districts, 12 federal constituencies and 22 state constituencies of Rivers state. 
The Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Mr Kenneth Kobani has been reportedly been arrested by men of the Nigerian Army. He was allegedly arrested for stalling the distribution of electoral materials a claim the Rivers state government has denied.
A source within the state government said the SSG was picked not to intimidate voters from voting.
Vanguard said Kobani had this morning allegedly stormed a RAC centre in his area having gathered that the original result sheets have been carted away.
