Kenya Terrorist Attack: Kenya Media put Under Blast for not making Story an Headline.

Yesterday the Muslims in Kenya took a united stand that's incomparable when they refused to be separated from Christians during a terrorist attack in Kenya. The world celebrated and is still celebrating this act but it turned out major news papers in the country didn't even carry it as headline or make it a top page story. This has got some Kenyan fingers busy and tongues waging for not making the story headline. Read what one them posted on Facebook and see more pictures of all the major news papers headlines after the cut.

It was not in the front page
Also not even in the front page
"Today Media Kenya has come out clear to show that Good news is NO news. Yesterday a major thing happened in Mandera where muslim passengers shielded their Christian brethren from imminent death. World press captured the heroic act and it was the first in the world. Last time when there was such an attack and 28 passengers were killed , all the three dailies had screaming headlines "Massacre At Dawn by Islamist gunmen."

Yesterday thank God a massacre was thwarted and our papers did not see that as major news yet the rest of the world was celebrating it. Daily Nation DID NOT even consider it worthy a top page story. "

The only New Papers that carried it as headline.
The Star and The Standard had it on the top page but as a banner but still better than Daily Nation. The Standard was better of all even with an editorial titled "Brave men, women, whose quick action saved many form death ," that is nice of them. If a massacre had happened I am sure they would all have screamed once again" Massacre at Dawn." Even ridiculed Daily Mail covered it so well. I hope our media realise how this act is such a big thing in fight against terror and helping to remove the wedge that was being driven between Muslims & Christians. Relegating this story to some corner is not nice at all and highly regrettable .

Even on TV I think Citizens are the only ones who had full coverage and maybe NTV unless I missed out. Once again hats off to those passengers who risked it all to ensure their non Muslims passengers were not harmed.
