Nigerian Army Parades Oil Thief Gang in Bayelsa.

The Military operation which is known as"Operation Pulo Shield" on Thursday,  paraded an oil theft gang made up of five members.

It is believed the gang operated in the Sangala creek a waterway located in the Ijaw Local Government Area (LGA) in Bayelsa State.


In order to restrain the illegal act of vandalizing pipe lines, cultism, kidnapping in the Niger Delta , the "Operation Pulo Shield" was created to help achieve the aims of puting an end to all of illegal activities.

According to the spokesman of the command, Colonel Isa Ado, those arrested were Gabriel Abel ,Ebiaredia Godday ,Samoson Ezekiel ,Gift Ehihus, and Richard Christain.

Items recovered from the bandits included four short guns, four cartridges, and 12 mobile handsets.

In addition, Colonel Ado claimed that in 2015  “Operation Pulo Shield” recovered over 50 vessels, destroyed over 100 illegal refinery camps, and arrested 1605 suspects in the Niger Delta area.
