Gov. Okowa Condolence Message to CBN Governor over Mother's Lost.

Delta State Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa has commiserated with the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Mr Godwin Emefiele on the demise of His Mother, Late Mrs Alice Emefiele who died on 25th December, 2015 at the ripe age of 94 years.


 In a condolence message to the CBN Governor, Gov. Okowa said Mrs. Alice Emefiele's death is a great loss not only to the Emefiele family but to the entire state and nation in general, given her invaluable contributions to the cause of humanity. 

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Charles Ehiedu Aniagwu, Governor Okowa described the late Mrs Alice Emefiele as a great Matriarch, whose invaluable care and support for her children led to Godwin Emefiele's emergence as Managing Director of Zenith Bank Plc and later Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria. Governor Okowa payed glowing tribute to Mrs Alice Emefiele for being a good mother to have nurtured and trained so many children culminating in the emergence of Mr Godwin Emefiele as Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria. 

 "On behalf of the government and people of Delta State, I commiserate with my brother and friend, Mr Godwin Emefiele, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria on the painful loss of his beloved mother, Late Mrs Alice Emefiele."

He prayed the Almighty God to grant repose to her soul, and give the Emefiele family, the people of Delta State and the entire nation the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. —
