Hundreds of Shiites in Kano Begin Maulud Nabiy Mourning Procession.

The members of the Shiites community troop to the street of Kano in large numbers to celebrate the annual birthday anniversary of the Prophet Mohammed, an event that is known as Maulud procession.

 Mallam Sanusi Abdulkadir who's in charge of the procession said this year procession is different because of the injustice inflicted upon the Shiites by the Nigerian army in Zaria.

The Shiites gathered at Kabara before the procession and moved through the routes of Soron Dinki, Makwarari Jakara, and Kwanar Dala, da Gwammaja and Kofar Mazuma areas in Kano metropolis, all dressed in black including children.
