Kidnappers of Bayelsa Commissioner and Former President Jonathan Cousin Demand N40m Ransom.

The Kidnappers of Bayelsa State Commissioner for Local Government and former President Goodluck cousin, Madam Sarafina Otazi, have demanded N40m ransom for her release. Click here if you missed the story.


Otazi  was kidnapped at gunpoint in Otuoke on her way to Ewoi Community in Ogbia Local Government Area (LGA) for a funeral.


According to her family member, the kidnappers had established contact with them and are demanding a ransom of N40m to set her free.

Despite the huge sum reuested they are glad to have heard from them and Otazi. And have pleaded with the kidnappers to set her free unconditionally.

Otazi had also served as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Acting Chairman of Ogbia LGA.
Also, the whereabouts of Governor Dickson’s younger sister, Nancy Dickson abducted less than 24 hours before Otazi was whisked away remains unknown as the duo spent Christmas in the kidnappers’ den.
