The People Democratic party (PDP), Chairman in Ekiti State, Idowu Faleye was arrested on Wednesday evening by a special police squad from the Force Headquarters Abuja, following a petition written by Adesanya to the police, in connection with the N1.5 million dud cheque issued for the payment of the party’s secretariat rent  to the Chairman.

The dud cheque was issued to Chief Ropo Adesany, the party former Chairman and the owner of the property but he has defect to the ruling party All Progressive Congress (APC).

Faleye was however released based on health condition with the promise to report at the Abuja headquarters  on Tuesday after undergoing a proper check up and certified fit by his doctor.

This is as a result of the controversial change of signatories by another faction of the party leadership being chaired by Tunde Olatunde. And the other faction loyal to Governor Ayo Fayose is chaired by Idowu Faleye.

On the Foreign Scene:
Boats Carrying 500 Migrants Capsized.
Another tragedy as Libya mourns the death of hundreds of people from two boats that capsized carrying about 500 migrants early on Thursday morning off the Libyan city of Zuwara. The first boat which signaled for help was carrying about 50migrants.

Residents and officials says; the second overcrowded boat, which sank much later, had about 400 passengers.

All efforts are being put in place to rescue some of the passengers by the Libyan Coast Guide. Which has led to the rescue of 201 people. But many seems to have been trapped when the boats capsized.

Thanks for stopping by and my sincere apology for the days spent away from here. Do have a blessed Friday and don't forget "life is worth living and people worth loving." Cheers!
