Snap Out of It!

What's that pain that's squeezing your heart that you can hardly breathe? It’s gradually choking the life out of you; you're fighting to stay strong but the battle is as annoying as it is difficult; and now, you're wondering why it is the way it is. In TPJ, we intend to create a pattern. We take a look at pained situations, such as dealing with grief, heartbreak, disappointments, life situations generally every Thursday.
Today, here's is what you need to snap out of:

“He/she Broke My Heart!” Hmmm! Hurts for sure, but you should be grateful he/she didn't break your spirit; because a broken spirit is harder to fix than a broken heart (It’s the valentine season; some people will definitely get their hearts broken. Hehe). In fact, getting your spirit broken may probably mean the end of life's journey, because you'll be suicidal. And yes, to your thought. A broken heart can lead to broken spirit when the heart isn't mended in time. But, let's leave that for another day.  Not only in a man & woman relationship do you get heartbreaks.  Whenever you're betrayed by someone, you can get heart broken. Being heartbroken is a metaphoric expression that has been given too much importance over the years - actually, over the centuries. Your heart being broken is your responsibility. Of course, there were questions you refused to answer, even when your sixth sense asked you to; you may have made excuses for lapses…and you believed his/her world revolved around you, so much so that you forgot to at least take a peek at what is going on outside that world.
You know, it’s not about how long you dwell in self-pity, but how strong you get in dealing with it. Life isn't about what has happened but what will happen. People are who they are; life is what it is; the world will keeping spinning no matter what goes on in it.  Snap out of it. There's still much living to do. Cheers.
