Our Daily Manner Devotional has a Message for you Today about being a Champion.

This is the message written in the daily devotional, Our Daily Manner, September 18, 2015 which has blessed lives all over the world today for you by Rev Chris Kwakpovwe.

Topic: BISHOP DAVID OYEDEPO: CHALLENGES MAKES CHAMPIONS.

Text: 2 Corinthians 4:6-18.

Bishop David Oyedepo is the founder of the Living Faith Churches. He was 60years  old in September 27, 2014. He has been rated by Forbes, an American business magazine which is a leading source of reliable busines news and financial information, as the richest pastor in Africa. The Bishop owns a string of universities and secondary schools as part of his investments. As young as 42 years of age, he had already acquired his first private jet. In his home country Nigeria, he has over 18500 employees. When he turned 60, as part of his birthday celebrations, he granted a number of interviews to the press. he said the following about challenges:
"Life is essentially about challenges; those challenges make champions. You can't emerge a heavyweight boxing champion except you receive punches. You can't change classes in school except you write exams. So to me, life is an adventure in challenges. It is normal to be challenged but it is unscriptural to be defeated. It is normal to write exams and you can attend classes where you can learn to pass your exams, so not passing your exams is a disappointment. So, to me challenges are the stepping stones for making champions. Every strong position attracts opposition. I ignore my challenges and focus on my victories."

No doubt life is a battlefield of challenges. the master Himself, the Creator of the universe said "In the world ye shall have tribulations." Thank God he didn't end the statement there. he added very quickly, "\but be of good cheer I have overcome the world" (John 16:33). The good news, the reason why you should rejoice is that you can overcome those challenges. If you focus on your difficulties, setbacks and disappointments you become a slave to them. Roman 6:16 says; "Know ye not that to whom ye yeild yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death or of obedience unto righteousness?" A man is a slave to whatever he chooses to be subservient to to. If you choose to focus on your past successes, achievements, breakthroughs as well as future hope and plans, then an excellent life lies ahead. The learned and tough Apostle Paul said in today's scripture, "For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and enternal glory" (verse 17). Shift focus today from the gloomy side of life to the bright and sunny side of life. Therein lies your success and future achievements.

Cheers!
