The 2015 King's College Founder's Day Lecture at King's College, Lagos, Focal Point is on: Preparing the Nigerian youths for a democratic future.
The speaker of the lecture scheduled for Friday, September 18, 2015, was revealed by the Vice President of King’s College Old Boys Association (KCOBA) and Chairman, Kingsweek Committee, Dr. Leke Oshunniyi to be the Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai as part of activities to mark the 106th Founder’s Day anniversary of the college.
The grand dinner to mark the Founder’s Day will hold on Saturday, September 19, 2015. Oshunniyi said the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo is the special guest of honour.
The ceremony will end with the anniversary thanksgiving service, which will hold at the College’s main campus Assembly Hall on Sunday, September 20, at 9.00am. while the Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place the same day at 2.00pm.
Oshunniyi speaking about KCOBA revealed that the alumni is one of Nigeria’s leading association and for many years been in the vanguard of the quest for educational reform and transformation. “And that is what we are out to achieve through this celebration, engaging key stakeholders to find solution with a political will to implement the solution,” he said.
