There are reports of the possibility of a re-run of Delta State governorship election which has been in the tribunal court many months running. Governor Okowa of the People Democratic Party (PDP) won the first round of tribunal over the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate, O'tega. But the case filed against him by the Labour Party (LP) candidate, Ogboru is presently tangling on re-run robe.
This has prompt APC to make the move in reconciling the aggrieved party members of the party to build a strong fold that can enable them to dominate the state political space.
The support the governorship candidate of the APC, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor is presently getting from the three senatorial district has ridden high the hopes of the party members and O'tega in a statement by his Director of Media, Dr Fred Larimore Oghenesivbe, said that “the bond of unity and absolute oneness of members has put paid to speculations by the opposition that APC Delta State will not survive her internal crisis.”
He further disclosed that the crisis was as a result of the uncertainty of President Muhammadu Buhari winning the Presidential elction carried by some of the party members. “but later schemed to hijack the party structure in the state after the landslide victory as well as those who were either working for the PDP for selfish interest but could not achieve their goals in the PDP power sharing game.”
All procedures to bridge the gap and reconcile members are presently being put in place for the party to have a strong hold on the state political affairs.
Well, that's it for now as I've got to run off to work but don't forget "life is worth living and people worth loving." Cheers!
