Dish it in the Ditch.

Have you ever had a reason to say " I've never been so embarrassed in my entire life." And that moment you wish the ground could open up and swallow you. If yes, then welcome to the club of those that has experienced their life time embarrassment. That means you aren't the only one to have been in such a position. And sorry, the ground won't be opening until your death at a good ripe age by God's grace (Amen). Besides, as humans, I love our belief that what goes around comes around. Someday; somehow; whoever embarrassed you will be put in such situation or worse than yours by someone else or even by him/herself. And you'll get to also be the source of someone else's embarrassment.

Two causes of embarrassment is YOU or SOMEONE/SOMETHING. Sometimes, it's easier to deal with it when we are the cause of our own predicament. But the truth still remains that we aren't perfect. Humans are bound to make mistakes. And that has become the perfect way to learn to be better people. Yeah! Its difficult to swallow.
- You got slapped/shunned/snubbed or shut up in public
- Your great idea got rejected and scorned.
- You fouled the air in midst of strangers, you thought it was gonna come out silently. Too bad it was loud enough for those around to hear.
- You discover you dated two friends and now none is ready to keep you and yeah, they're making a public announcement of it.
- Oh! You messed up your grammar while conversing with others and they had a good laugh, not minding how you'll feel.
- You forgot the lyrics of a song while ministering or words
- You found out that, the clothes your man asked you to go shop for was actually for his marriage introduction to another girl. Funny, you were dragged to attend by a friend who wasn't aware of your relationship with the man in question.
Numerous situations being experienced by different people everyday. If the ground was truly to open when such occurs, it'd have swallowed us all by now. Thank God, who didn't grant such wish. No matter how long you keep feeling bad, it isn't going to change a thing. Neither, will you be able to turn back the hands of time to undo that which is already done. So, dish it in the ditch. Life too beautiful to worry over spilled milk. Cry over it or laugh over it, its a choice you have to make. Need not I tell you; if you cry over it, you'll end up with red eye but if you laugh over it, some people will get to feel the humour in such embarrassing situation. Your reaction is what will determine others response and understanding. The ditch is where you drop dirt. So dish such things into the ditch. But learn from such situation and be wiser.
And this is to replace our Thursday Series "Snap Out of it" for today. But will be in continuation next week. Cheers!
