Supreme Court Sits Today to Decide the Winner of Delta State April 11, 2015 Governorship Election.

The Supreme Court sitting in Abuja will today; Feb 2 2016 decides the winner of the Delta governorship gubernatorial election of April 11 2015.

The Appeal court had dismissed the  petitions of Ogboru  of labour Party and Emerhor of All Progressive Congress against the election of Okowa  of Peoples Democratic Party in its separate judgments.
A statement by Governor Okowa's aide, Ossai Ovie Sucess; Ogboru and Emerhor allegations of non-compliance with the provisions of the Electoral Act in the conduct of the election is baseless.

He further said "The allegations that the figure of the declared result in the election was higher than the number of accredited voters goes to show that my brothers from Delta Central, Ogboru and O'tega knows nothing about the grassroots and that was why they both engaged in fighting for UPU endorsement instead of telling the masses their manifestos."

"At the court of appeal, Ogboru and O'tega fails to prove the allegation of corrupt practices against the electoral umpire.

Mr Ogboru and Emerhor had filed the respective appeals seeking to upturn the decisions of the tribunal and Appeal which had upheld the election of the governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

Today, I do hereby call on Chief Great Ogboru and Olorogun O'tega to please join His Excellency, Gov Ifeanyi Okowa to move Delta State to the next level of transformations because indeed, Prosperity has come to stay." He said.
