Delta State Government Re-enforces the Ban on Motor and Tricycle as more Photos of Extreme Overload Emerges.


DELTA STATE GOVERNMENT SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

 It is hereby announced for the information of the general  public particularly operators of commercial Tricycles and Motorcycles in Delta State, that the ban on the use of  tricycles and motorcycles along the various express ways in  the State is still in force.

The Directorate of Transport has reminded Tricycles (Keke)/ Motorcycles (Okada) operators that the reckless and unsafe  act of their operations on the highways was unacceptable and that lives of innocent citizens should not be toyed with.

Consequently, commuters who are in the habit of patronizing Tricycles and motorcycles operators on the highways are to desist forthwith from such patronage in order not to gamble with their lives
as there are taxi-cabs that ply such highways. For the avoidance of doubt, the expressway affected by the ban include the NPA Expressway to Effurun-Roundabout, Agbarho Roundabout to DSC Junction, Agbarho to Agbara, Koko Junction Expressway, Agbor, Asaba/Onitsha Highway
as well as Ogwashi-Uku Highway.

 Accordingly, commercial Tricycles (Keke) Motorcycles (Okada) operators are by this announcement advised to stay-off these expressways as any operator that flaunts this directive would have the Tricycles/Motorcycles impounded by the officials of the Directorate of Transport as well as the Police and other Security Agencies.
