President Buhari  arrived Sharm-El Sheikh, Egypt yesterday for the Africa Business Forum which kick starts today 20th and to end 21st February 2016.

Ebonyi Governor Suspends LGA Chairman for Demolishing Church

The Ebonyi State governor, David Umahi, has suspended the caretaker committee chairman of Ikwo Local Government Area, Joseph Orogwu, for allegedly demolishing a church. The Commissioner for Information, Emmanuel Onwe, disclosed this on Friday.  Mr. Onwe, who said the suspension was immediate and indefinite, noted that the chairman had been directed to hand over to the next senior officer in the council.

 

Tompolo: Court Orders EFCC To Seize His Assets.

A Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the forfeiture of property belonging to Government Ekpemupolo A.k.a Tompolo. Justice Ibrahim Buba granted the order following Tompolo's refusal to appear in court inspite of several invitations by the EFCC to answer to the 40 counts charges bordering on N34 billion money laundering, which Tompolo and 9 others.

Federal Government To Slash Pump Price Of Petrol.

The Federal Government is considering a downward review of the Price of the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly called petrol , from April 2016 . This was revealed by Mr. Farouk Ahmed, Executive Secretary of the petroleum products Pricing Regulating Agency (PPPRA).

Former President Jonathan's Abducted Nephew Found Dead In Bayelsa Creek.

The 35-year-old nephew, Mr. Samuel Oki, of Former President Goodluck Jonathan, was found dead yesterday in a creek in Otuoke Community, in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. He was kidnapped on Wednesday along side Jonathan's foster father, Chief Inengnite Nitabai .

Ex-Ministers Gives Jonathan Deadline To Withdraw Support For Sheriff .

A committee has been set up to ask Former President Goodluck Jonathan to withdraw his support from Al Modu Sheriff as the New National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), by some ex-ministers  and members of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following his decision to support the choice of Al Modu Sheriff as the New National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The given deadline is March.

Nobel Laureate, Soyinka, has called on President Buhari to convene an economic summit where Nigerians can brainstorm on how to get the Country out of it of the declining state of the economy.

President Buhari Appoints Ooni Of Ife As UNN Chancellor.

The humble Ooni of Ife, Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has emerged the youngest Chancellor in Nigeria with the Appointment of the King as Chancellor University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Mr. President confirmed the well-deserve appointment today being 18/2/2016. He has promised to make Nigeria a tourist heaven.

Diezani Alison Madueke's Husband Arrested By EFCC.

Husband of Former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison- Madueke was arrested by the EFCC over allegations of money laundering more than $600, 000 through his personal accounts.
He was quizzed for many hours and was released on administrative bail.
