Kidnappers Nabbed by Security Operatives in Sapele.

Some days ago a young man and his girlfriend were ambushed and kidnapped by kidnappers in Sapele. In the process of trying to make away with the man, the lady was able to escaped from them at Urhuakpa road and quickly alerted the Urhuakpa Community. They made contact with security operatives, that gave prompt response.

The security operatives immediately sprung into action by sending some military, police and community vigilante into the bush around Amukpe were the man was taken to. Some searched from Urhuakpa  and others from Amukpe.

The kidnappers abandoned their vehicles, blind folded and mouth gag him from screaming.  They decided to walk deeper into the bush. However, luck was against them as security operatives closed in on them. One of them was caught after relieving his counterpart of his duties of looking after the victim (the one on red shirt) in the bush.

He gave up the names of the others and took the Army to an hotel where the leader of the gang resides in Sapele.

Ono Pink Journal gathered that one of the gang member (Picture below) is a friend to the victim

and it was him that arranged for his kidnap. He left the scene pretending to be ignorant of his friend kidnap. And going as far as acting as an escort to the Security Operatives during the search for the victim. It was after the Army apprehended all the gang members that he was confessed to have been the mastermind behind the kidnapping of his friend.

The Army has promised to investigate further and hopefully, this will help put an end the numerous and random kidnapping activities within Sapele environment.

A document has also been signed by  Security operatives to shoot anyone caught in the act/scene again to death.
