Increase the Height of the Pipe Used for Gas Flaring - Sapele people calls on SEPLAT.

The people of Sapele have called on the oil and gas producing company, SEPLAT to increase the height of gas flaring because of the negative environmental implication and effects on the health of the people. The flaring of gas in one of the flow station is quite too low as shown in the picture above. Read article after the cut written in pidgin English.

Our Okpe Leaders just sidon dey chop Seplat money with two hands,but unknowing the damage wen Seplat Gas waste, dey inflict on our environment. That Gas abi na fire flare wen dey burn throway for Shell Road get "environmental negative effect".

The constant burn of that gas,dey increase the heat level of that environment badaly. Also the soil dey polluted as the burnt nor dey even dey allow common flours to grow around. The constant inhaling of that burnt gas,get serious Health hazard against Humans etc. Wetin be the efforts of our Community Leaders to profound solution? To handle dat issue nor hard. Na to carry pipe go up well well, make e dey blow go sky.  Seplat dey make big amount of money and yet them nor fit provide Health Center for Shell Road, yet unu say unu be Leaders.
