Delta Monarch Palace and many other Houses Submerged by Flood.

Over 30 houses have been submerged in the terrible flood that hit Otu-jeremi in Ughelli South Local Government, which is the home of the former Deputy Governor of Delta State, Prof  Amos Utuama and some parts of Ndokwa and Ethiope East.

Presently, the people of Esaba have been cut off from neighbouring communities for lack of access to the road.

Many have been displaced including HRH Matthew Egbi, the Okobaro have been forced to move out of his palace.

The Commissioner in charge of Bureau and special duties, Chika Ossai took members of the State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA in company of Dr, Henry Sakpra, to the various communities; However, many of the displaced people have refused to move to the makeshift relief accommodation because they say; they weren't well treated in the 2012 flood disaster.

The commissioner speaking on behalf of the Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa said; people of the areas prone to flood should relocate as the river waters continue to rise and overflow its bank. He also made people understand the need to pay attention to the various messages sent to media houses to keep people informed and inspected the cleaning and clearing of the available drainage
