In a world where dreams can be easily thwarted, life can become meaningless, few gets to be favoured, man has come to device means to get around everything. And around the table keeps turning until the aim of existence is loss on everyone. Someone is always wishing for something; the poor for wealth; the hungered for food; the rich for protection....etc. No matter how a man's world seems perfect, there's always something lacking which maybe greater or smaller than that of his neighbour. Issues begets issues; problems begets problems; when solution is found for one, another arose.... And an endless search becomes a man's goal.
And a greater mystery is how far can a man walk/search? He gets beaten as others take longer stride and arrived at their destinations or climbed up the mountain while he's still looking with his hand shading his face from the sun and wringing as the sky nose dived into an endless entity. The more a man tries to understand the whole making of that which lies before him, the weaker is his hope of survival in such a world. And that's where we've found ourselves today. Climb or get climbed over, run or get run down, Beat or get beaten is the race of life. And for every climb, walk, race you must surround yourself with what you'll need to get to your desired destination and that 'ROPE' for your climb is your 'HOPE' in Him who thought you worthy enough to make the climb.
Your ability to stay on track without faltering or giving up determines your level of maturity, which comes when you realize that all that you can ever be is all that God has destined you to be, hence when the rope gets scratched by rocky rough edges, it won't break or wear out. Then you know, you can actually rest, unperturbed by what life throws your way. Am I saying you should be complacent? far from it, but be confident in your knowledge; 'its not about your ability or capability but that of your maker,' but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits (Daniel 11:32b). Rope yourself with hope and you'll be looking down from the mountain top on those who tried to run you down. Yes! Life race or climb, all you need is God as your Captain. Its Sunday, let's get to His House of Worship to be roped with some words of hope. And don't forget 'life is worth living and people worth loving.' Cheers!
