God bless Steve Harvey in his book "Think like a Man, act like a Lady." Where he enumerated the duties of a man to; profess, protect and provide. That way he will gain the woman's respect. But what do we have today? There's a serious misunderstanding by the men as to their roles, Maybe they'd need their own "Think like a Lady, BE a Man" or something like that. Like Darkness can be very strong even though it's not an entity in itself but just a consequence of the absence of light. So is all our present-day man woman issues.
Man starts feeling emasculated because woman brings home more, woman don't know how to slow down any more for the Man to take charge or provide because she's learnt from mom and big Aunty's experiences that men are selfish and not to be trusted. Lady wants to respect her man but sees nothing respectable. Whose fault is it really, is it the women who no longer want to be protected and nurtured and now want to be the head....who can blame them though? They've been hurt so many times that their tear glands have tried up and heart is now made of kpomo(animal skin)! That way it can't be broken. Or the men who have been exploited by women so many times, they can't seem to recognised when a lady is for real and now demands proof for love and loyalty.
It has all become a mumble jumble relationship. Survival of the fittest in the jungle. And we do know even in the jungle, there's still a recognised king (the Lion). How much more in such a civilised world we've found ourselves. Simply, our men need to get hold of their hood and head over them. Oh! An amazing woman is she that knows what a man needs and gets him to it (not necessarily feet it for him). With relational issues, there should be atleast a hundred parts, so get set for "Guys today are just DUMP." Cheers!
