The people of Ndokwa, which makes up of Ndokwa West and East Local Government Area in Delta State, Nigeria, took to the streets and roads to protest over lack of electricity for several months, the arrest of the president of Ndokwa national youth Vanguard and the death of a  hypertensive patient  due to the periodic shooting by the Nigeria police that also damaged a car according to report by Conpa Excos.

One of the CONPA exco who stayed anonymous said "Those who make peaceful change not achievable make violent change inevitable."

"Coalition of Ndokwa peace ambassadors (CONPA) pleads with the Nigeria police to be peaceful in arresting citizens."

During the protest, all operations were shut down and  movements  restricted in Ndokwa  for IPP to step down light and the unconditional release of the president that marred the IPP tower that cut off one their transmission lines at obosi.

Ndokwa nation has never witnessed such a protest with over 15000 persons, no school opened, all banks closed, all stores locked, no markets opened, as all traditional rulers and elders in kwale supported the peaceful protest which demonstrated how important the step down of light means to Ndokwa people.

The executive members has declared that the first stage of war is agitation and protest. And they are  pleading with all leaders of Ndokwa  and His Excellency Sen.Dr.Ifeanyi Okowa to look into the issue with keen interest urging all youths, women, elders and traditional rulers in Ndokwa  to be calm and peaceful because the best way to manage this issue is by "DIALOGUE AND UNDERSTANDING".
