Over Zealous OAP Set to Ruin a Listener's Relationship

OAP's need to know when to draw the bounds on 'on air friendliness' with listeners. Sometimes in the act of connecting and being at ease with listeners, one may be carried away and forget they are actually talking to a complete stranger. And may end up causing problems in their lives with the kind of questions they asked.

Okay! Read this conversation between an OAP and a listener, during a request/greeting programme in one of the radio stations in Warri, Delta State.

OAP: Good morning, how are you?

Listener: I'm fine, my name ------- and calling from -------

OAP: Alright, who are you sending your greeetings to:

Listener: My loved ones, especially 'my woman.'

OAP: Aww! Beautiful, what's her name?

Listener: Hmmmmmmmmmmm,mmmmmm, ( after a very long hmm and ehhh, he finally called a name.)

OAP: Your woman, I believe your wife will be very happy to hear this.

Listener: No, she's not my wife

OAP: Oh you're not married?

Listener: No, she's not my wife but just 'my woman' for now.

OAP: But you're going to marry her soon?

Listener: hmmm, ehhn and more hmmm (And he finally said yes.)

And I thought OAP, will end there but no!

OAP: I thought, you'd say more like, she's my world; she completes me and sweet words to garnish the greeting.

Listener: Laughed

Well, I tuned out before I perform like  'Merlin'  and jump into the station to close the OAP mouth, lol! Honestly, I don't know what to make of the conversation.

A bit of Analysis
We know that some persons are in relationship with more than one person. So, I believe when that man said 'my woman,' it could be any of his girlfriends as many they might be. Anyway, I hope the OAP hasn't put the dude in trouble by making him call name lol!.
