Breaking News: Nigerian Government Sacks Heads Of NTA, NAN, FRCN and other Government Owned Media.

The heads of six information-related parastatals under the Ministry of Information and Culture have been relieved of their duties by the Federal Government of Nigeria. 

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, made the announcement of their disengagement during a meeting he held with the Chief Executives of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Voice of Nigeria (VON), News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC) and the National Orientation Agency (NOA) on Monday.

Delta LG Chairman Sues Human Activist for N500 Million over Diversion of Council Funds.

The executive chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Area,  Mr. Louis Ndukwe has sued an online human activist popularly known as 'Daddy O' Concept' for N500 Million Libel suit.

According to report, the LG Chairman sued  'Daddy O' Concept after he accused him of wrongly suspending four elected councillors because they accused him (LG Chairman) of diverting the council funds.

President Buhari Appoints 24-Year-Old as Personal Assistant on New Media .

President Buhari has appointed Bashir Ahmad as his Personal Assistant on New Media, he is just 24, from Kano State made the announcement on Twitter yesterday.

Ahmad graduated from Bayero University Kano with Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication in 2013. And was a member of the Buhari Support organisation.

President Muhammadu Buhari maiden Presidential Media Chat is reported to hold today as the president will be speaking on current national issue.

According to a statement issued in Abuja by the president’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, the media chat will be broadcast live on the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN).
