E.K Clark Quits PDP, accuses all Past Presidents of Being too Weak to Fight Corruption.

The Ijaw elder statesman and former Minister of Information, Chief Edwin Clark has joined the long list of the People Democratic Party, PDP members to quit the party. He said, he's leaving PDP because former President, Dr Goodluck .E. Jonathan was too weak to fight corruption. He made the allegation to encompass all President Buhari Predecessors of not having the political will to fight against corruption.

He believes if Nigerians are to give their support to the President and stop accusation of the Presidency of being bais in fighting against corruption, the country will be completely free from  all forms of corrupt activities.

He also adviced the President not to be dissuaded but to be focused in achieving his goals.

EK Clark who was a major supporter of Goodluck Jonathan revealed this in Abuja when 'Think Nigeria First Initiative' paid him a courtesy visit. He, however stated he won't be perching his tent with the ruling party, the All progressive party, APC.

He said, “Jonathan didn’t have the political will to fight corruption. He’s a gentleman. Drivers of yesterday are living in palatial buildings now under his government.

“In advanced countries, when you are living above your means, people query you. That’s not so in Nigeria. Former governors, lawmakers are now asking for immunity.”

He said, “I no longer belong to the PDP. I won’t go to the APC either, but I will continue to talk as an elder statesman and leader of this country. I have left politics."

“If anyone comes to me to say he’s running for any elective position in the PDP or the APC, I won’t support you. I’m not a member of the PDP anymore.”

However, it was unclear if this decision was prompted because of the defeat former President Goodluck  incurred during the 2015 presidential election.
