72 cattle Rustlers Arrested by Police and 818 Cattle Recovered
The Commissioner of police in Kano State Mr Muhammad Katsina,has disclosed the arrest of 72 suspected cattle rustlers in the notorious Falgore forest in Tudun Wada Local Government Area., during his presentation of the men to newsmen at Kwanar Dawaki in Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area of the state on Sunday. This he did in the presence of the Emir of Kano Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, and Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje.
In the raid, 818 cattle were recovered and three of the rustler killed when they engaged the police in a gun battle at the forest.
Amaechi Letter to Saraki Lacks Logic and Merit - PDP Rivers State chapter of the People Democratic Party has alleged that Amaechi letter to the Senate President, Bukola Saraki on the report of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry for the investigation of his administration on the sale of valued assets and other related matters, which indicted him, (Amaechi) should be disregarded by the Senate President because it lacks merit and logic. This was revealed in a statement released by the State Chairman of PDP, Bro Felix Obuah signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Jerry Needam.

North Korea calls for Peace Treaty with America
North Korea has rejected talks of nuclear programming and called for peace treaty with his neighbouring countries. The Koreans who were asked by US and South Korean to give up their nuclear weapon have made it clear according to the North's foreign ministry that any negotiations on its nuclear programme were off the table until a truce signed at the end of the Korean conflict in 1953 is replaced by a full peace treaty.
Edo State Former Deputy Governor's House Engulfed by Fire.
The complex of the former Edo State Deputy Governor, Dr Pius Odubu located along Commercial Avenue in the Government Reservation Area (GRA), Benin City,was completely burnt down by fire on Friday. He lost most of his properties but no life was lost. The cause of the fire outbreak is yet to be ascertain.
