International and award winning gospel recording artiste Vashawn Mitchell was the headline act for the just concluded staging of the 'Come Celebrate Jesus' gospel concert, which held at the Montego Bay Convention Centre in St James, Jamaica on Saturday.
Just before the concert, the gospel art wondered why he didn't get his hair cut, despite having about four barbers, lol!
According to Donald Brooks, the organiser of the concert, which is renowned for showcasing top-flight gospel acts over the years, this year's event turned out to be bigger and better than all the previous stagings. And hopes it gets better each year.
In addition to Mitchell, the concert also featured international recording artiste Kevin Downswell, the anointed Adrian Cunningham, Sandra Brooks, and the ever-pleasing Kay Morris, special appearance by 'Joshua Generation' - the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission's Children Finalists Ramone Watson and Anique Morris.
As it is customary, part of the proceeds from the concert will go to needy charities. This year, the recipients will be the New Vision Children's Home, The Committee for the Upliftment of the Mentally Ill, and the Women's Centre.
