How the Greatest Consultant Fashioned George Washington's Life; The First American President.

The dream of George Washington was to join the Navy, but his mother, who was a widow raising her children alone, didn't like the idea. And trying to be brave, she agreed to let him follow his dream. The day he was to sail, she hugged him and said goodbye. And just before his departure, her emotion got hold of her and she started weeping uncontrollably. She has been through so much pain, raising her children all alone, she just couldn't endure letting go her son. George must not get on the ship. She needs him to stay back, be strong in helping the rest of them. As much as the young boy smartly dressed up to embark on such great journey, desperately wanted to go after his dreams, he chosed to stay back. Especially if it means adding to his mother's grief. Reluctantly, he returned his uniform and ordered his belongings to be ashore.

This difficult decision made by George turned out to have a great impact on the Revolutionary war. And he ended up embarking on a different adventure, which he eventually became famous for. This was as a result of his mother eleventh hour anxiety tears that; prevented her young fifteen years old boy from ascending the ranks of the British Navy. This boy became the United States of America first president and he is no other person but George Washington.

Yes! Its the duty of man to dream and plan but God is the one to dispose (Proverbs 16:9). If things happened not to go the way, we initially had wanted it to happen, doesn't mean God isn't working. It just means, He is working something better. Remember, Moses asked the children of Israel to stand still and see the glory of God (Exodus 14:13). So, after we've planned we do need some stillness/patient in our lives to let God fashion and perfect everything according to His will and our benefits. Let the Lord decides where we go. If we don't take steps from God...., how would we know where we are going? (Proverbs 20:24).

Henry Blackaby writes; we can be deceived into believing we are on the right path, yet be heading the opposite direction from God's will. How many times have we tried to do it on our own and just realize it will  all end up in struggle even if we don't immediately fail. That's God letting you know how much you need him. So, during the days of struggle, find a way to be still and let Him take the lead, He knows the full implications of the choices we make. Do have a fruit bearing week everyone.
