The thing about stolen food is that; it easily reduces or completely kills your eagerness or appetite to ravish and relish the one you’ve gotten freedom to have. How do I mean? I will tell you; few years ago, there was a Corp member posted to my office for the service year. As it turned out, within the year, she got married.
After the
holiday, which she was given to enjoy her honeymoon she returned back to the
office. One of those boring days, she rested her legs on the table in the inner
office. I couldn’t help not admiring her full (fleshly) toes neatly polished.
Aproko me decided to compliment her and told her how beautiful the toes are and
how much her husband must enjoy.....you know lol! She just laughed it off and said “abeg forget
that one, wetin he don do tire. He doesn’t
have time now”. Uhmmm! That’s like after about two weeks of being married. That
is exactly what stolen food does to you.
Over the
years, I’ve learned not to be foolishly or lovingly lured into sin. However,
the ability to say no to your betrothal or partner who makes your heart race
100km per 1min and gets all your hormones wired up has nothing to do with your
strain or muddled senses but by GRACE of the Lord, Hebrews 13:9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines.
For it is a good thing that the
heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them
that have been occupied therein..
That grace
makes you strong when weak, makes you handle difficulty with ease, fill you up
when empty, laugh when you wish to scream out your frustration, to have faith
when nothing seems to be right.....Endless list of what grace has done and will
continue to do for us and on our behalf. Remember, it takes grace to do right
by the Lord. Never lean on your human ability, it’ll take you nowhere because to
man, stolen food will always be sweet, damn the consequences but to God; “If
they obey and serve him, they
shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures Job 36:11".
Happy Sunday, I pray you enjoy the remaining
hours immensely and remember Jesus loves you and me. Cheers!
Good message.
