It comes with righteousness in Christ and victory over all things. It does not seek out inheritance, it leaves behind one.
It all began with the need to make better that which was good Genesis 1:31 ‘makeup’. Which is to serve as a covering. And developed to bring forth a complete change of replacing better with best in a makeover but best has nothing to do with artifices hence Esther still found favour with the king Esther 2:17 And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti. You do remember how she rejected the artifices she was supposed to be adorned with to accept simple wears.
Beauty is not facial issue alone but the entity of a man. If a man is attracted to you as a woman because of the cosmetics why does he stay after the pan cake has been taken off? Hence, some people lifestyle or attitude needs a complete makeover to look beautiful.
In essence, your face is not the only thing that you need to beautify even your life does. Because facial beauty is vain but life beauty is a virtue and does not die. It lives on from generation to generation. Martin Luther King understood this and fought a good fight. Others are Benson Idiahosa, Mother Theresa etc.
Just as you clothe
your body, your soul needs clothing. With what do you do that? the word of God.
Your clothes get to change styles and wears out. If a lady's Marykay foundation
lasts, it will be four or six months but God's word is everlasting 1 Peter 1:23. You can be
sure to hand it over as life proceeds but not the lipstick that gets exhausted.
It does not because the word is life.
Again, beauty is
not judged by facial or outward look alone but your expression. Even if you’ve got the prettiest
face or body but an ugly expression you’d be termed ugly. Work on making over your
inside and you’d spend little or nothing on the outside. The enrichment of your
being leads to a flourishing existence.
So, do I mean
no need for cosmetics? Of not! But when at it, remember what matters most as
Esther did. God's favour, an holy and righteous life. Please let me bore you again with this reminder that beauty fades with
age, the body wrinkles even the memories fades but not the gift of salvation
given freely by the Lord Jesus that you might have possession of all things 1 Corinthians 9:8.
Cheers!
Cheers!
