Overcoming addiction is as difficult as you make it. No matter what you are told to do or how to do it, it still comes to you realising the need to give in or pull out. Do not tell me I have no idea of what I am talking about  as an excuse to ignore this post because that is the easiest thing to do “give excuse” why you cannot  get over it even though it is pulling you down.  So, let me put you at ease.

We live in a society today where men's comfort is dependent on the acceptability that women are to help shoulder their responsibilities. It doesn't matter if the shoulders are wide enough or well muscled to handle this.  However, that won’t be a big deal if some man hadn’t added the role of his woman been a punching bag to show how manly he is. Afterall, the bags in the gym feel no pain.

Someone once wrote these words "the only regret I have is of the battles I shouldn't have turned away from". Too many times battles are to rattle us into discovering and becoming the person we were met to be. If you don't fight for it, it can't become your right.

There are things we see in this country that should deepen the need for us to keep this nation in our prayers. And it is not about wishing to escape to some other country because it could be worse and don’t forget the grass isn’t greener on the other side anymore. It is where it is watered.

Snap out of it! Memories of the Past don't have to Last long.

Of course! By now you’ve learned that everyone has got a past. Now, I don’t mean the good ones. I am referring to those moments that tragically changed one's whole idea about too many things in life. That has defined the person you’ve become today and you’ve tried or trying but just can’t get through the pain. The memories are just stuck in the shadow keeping you trapped or bond.

A 6 year old boy is taken to the room in the absence of his parents. He is stripped naked and his genital is used to satisfy the inordinate sexual desires of paedophile aunties and maids. He doesn’t even understand, he is told to tell no one. He lives with it forever. I don't know what goes on in his mind forever. I won't even know if he enjoyed it. Maybe someone can explain how children as young as 5 get erections. But of course, it is true.

We live in a world where everyone delights in living the good life but not everyone is prepared to find delight in plight which reveals one’s competency and ability as exhibited by a man who thought a lot and whose thoughts formulated the words of actions that kept him a step ahead of his lecturer.

Sex is a long thing. Let's forget about the spiritual implication and the actual act to think on the aftermath (outcome or end product). I pray you realise how lengthy sex could be when you're done with your thoughts. It is generally acceptable for one to be startled when sting by animate or inanimate objects. Sometimes from the shock or the piercing pain, many will blindly thrash out with hands or legs flying. Remember that awkward moment when you unconsciously slapped yourself because of mosquito bite? Yeah, that’s what shock could do to us.  I do remember as a young child, I was told to kill any ant that sting me and use it to rub the spot. That will help lessen the pain lol! Many times, one can’t get to the root of a problem without digging up and cutting the shoot which is holding the root firmly in place. Between pride and stubbornness, it is difficult to term which is the root and which is the shoot. However, I wonder if I might be right to say every human has got a trait of stubbornness which shoots from pride?

Many times depression creeps up on one without notice. It usually begins with what we call mood swing. Some people mood changes faster than the colour of Chameleon blending into his surroundings. They can easily compete with lightening flash. One second of pure bliss and another of ache according to their experience.

If you doubt it, try telling a story to five different people and ask them what they think? I believe hardly will they give the same answer. Even when they do, it is not going to be the same way they will explain it to you.

Recently, Udu Local Government in Warri Metropolis, Delta State asked all women into sales to be paying N150 every day. It doesn’t matter what you’re selling (hawking). You will pay even if all the interest you made that day is just N150. The women of course are protesting seriously against it but with the various elements at work in the government will their voice be heard? Besides, with what tricycle riders did they are today, buying tickets N200 each day, despite the fuel troubles.

The indigenes and fans of Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose are currently into words battle with Raij Draj Ademola, a Facebook user who shared photo of the governor  buying banana from a child who is supposed to be in school. They are insisting that Raij misunderstood or misinterpreted the action being depicted in the photo.

Several occasions I have gazed at the photo and asked myself the same question Ace comedian Ali Baba is presently asking. There are presently two side of the coin to Ese's willingness to be rescued or not. The first one was the video published by PREMIUM TIMES of her unwillingness to return home and even claiming to be 17 years old. And the recent interview granted to daily sun of not knowing how she got to Kano with her abductor. But that pouting mouth speaks a clear language if one could actually understand the true situation surrounding the story. Did she really wanted to be rescued or not?
