President Buhari has appointed Bashir Ahmad as his Personal Assistant on New Media, he is just 24, from Kano State made the announcement on Twitter yesterday.

Ahmad graduated from Bayero University Kano with Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication in 2013. And was a member of the Buhari Support organisation.

Buhari didn’t Refer to all Nigerians as Criminals - Presidency

The presidency has described as misconstrued the various interpretations of President Muhammadu Buhari’s comments in an interview granted to the UK’s Telegraph newspaper on February 5.

In a statement Tuesday by Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, noted that the wave of negative reactions to the President’s remarks about the reputation of Nigerians abroad was a result of incomplete understanding of President Buhari’s point.

President Muhammadu Buhari maiden Presidential Media Chat is reported to hold today as the president will be speaking on current national issue.

According to a statement issued in Abuja by the president’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, the media chat will be broadcast live on the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN).
