"LISTEN, you have to understand that when you have a plan, a goal, a vision, a dream, a passion, an assignment in life, not everyone will be happy or excited for you. In fact you may have more 'haters' than those who genuinely look forward with great expectation, to the great things you'll accomplish. Even those you believe should encourage and support you, may end up doing the opposite.
Some may feel you are not qualified, others may feel they should be the one doing it, others may just be plain jealous because of your impact or the speed at which you may be accomplishing your task. Whatever the reason is and whoever the person may be, DO NOT be discouraged and do not be distracted.
I don't know about you but I'm so glad that God doesn't judge us that way! In fact, to Him, our inadequacies are what make us qualified for whatever the assignment may be. I'm sure you've heard it before that He doesn't call the equipped, He equips the called. Praise God!
As long as you know that God is the One Who has given you that task; as long as you know you are at the very centre of His plan for your life, stay focused and keep moving!
Keep going after the necessary knowledge and understanding in that task. As I often like to say, they may hate you, they may despise you, they may envy you, but they won't be able to deny the light & the impact that you have! Whatever field you may be in - Medicine, Architecture, Business, Minister of the gospel, etc, keep going for light & do not forget the One who sent you. Take no credit, and ensure that as your light is shining, it is pointing all those you come in contact with, to your Father in heaven!" Kemi Oyedepo
