The Cost of a Lost Dream.

Have you ever imagined what would have happened to the black race if the likes of Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela gave up on their dreams? These were men who gave their dreams a chance to form and nursed that dream in the midst of the great challenges that looked insurmountable. They kept nursing until fruitful results were produced. If they had lost their dream, I believe the cost would have been more years or till Jesus comes discrimination of blacks in United States of America and South Africa.

The rare ability to dare to dream is what makes a man to hold his smile when he’s expected to cry; to live when he’s expected to die.  This rare ability is what births the purpose of one’s life. A dream gives direction and focus in the path one chose to thread in life. It won’t matter if it is nails stuck road or filled with hot coal. You’d walk through.

One must think and visualise his or her dream because it is what you can see that you can speak about and form into shape. This can be done by the Spirit of the Lord Genesis 1:2; And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. Now I am not talking about what people do to have fame and money but what can make a difference and better the society and maybe the world we live in.  

Many times the dream one set at on a mission isn’t what he/she ends up fulfilling. Because circumstances have either modified or changed the initial dream. Most cases at a huge cost. This happens when the dream is not properly formed which could lead to aimlessness and lack of recognition.

A not so well defined aim in life will lead to not so well lived one. Your dream shouldn’t be base on what sells but what sets record. That’s what people will keep talking about years later. There are living dead men among us still helping to create a better life and world. Not too far from home is our very own Bishop Benson Idahosa whose preaching is still reforming the lives of many today. The emerges of a black president in the US is still fulfilment of the dream of a man more than 50years ago.

Your dream may just be what the world needs now, so let it form and never lose it. You sure matters more than you might ever know. Cheers!
