The Battle Wrapped Miracle!

It is not Friday morning, if workers aren’t extra excited like I am right now. Although, I feel like beating myself up slightly. But, I will settle for a warning because it isn’t easy having to do that to me. And I am scolding myself for not splitting up this post two days ago into 1&2 because I missed studying time with the morning devotional ‘Our Daily Manner’ which had this interesting life transforming story you probably or probably not have read that will surely give you a boisterous reaction. Having to combine the two days write up has made it quite lengthen and you and I know how much you enjoy reading longggggg post *winks*. I assure you, this is one you’d be glad you read to the end.
Topic: The cost of a Miracle part 1 & 2
Scriptures: Romans 8:26-39 and Luke 18:1-8
An eight year-old child heard her parents talking about her little brother. All she knew was that he was very sick and they had no money left. Only a very costly surgery could save hum now and there was no one to loan them the money. When she heard her daddy say to hear tearful mother with whispered desperation, “Only a miracle can save him now”, the little girl went to her bedroom and pulled her piggy bank from its hiding place in the closet. She poured all the change out on the floor and counted it carefully. She slipped out the back door and made her way six blocks away to the local pharmacy. She took some money from her dirty children’s bag and placed it on the glass counter. “And what do you want?” asked the pharmacist. “It’s for my little brother,” the girl answered back. “He’s really very sick and I want to buy a miracle.”
“I beg your pardon?” said the pharmacist.
“He has something bad growing inside his head and my daddy says only a miracle can save him. So how much does a miracle cost?”
“We don’t sell miracles here, child. I’m sorry” the pharmacist said, smiling sadly at the little girl.
“Listen, I have the money to pay for it. If it isn’t enough, I can try to get some more. Just tell me how much it costs.”
In the shop was a well-dressed customer. He stooped down and asked the little girl, “What kind of miracle does your brother need?”
“I don’t know,” she replied with her eyes welling up. “He’s really sick and mommy says he needs an operation. But my daddy can’t pay for it, so I have brought my savings”.
“How much do you have?” asked the man
“One dollar and eleven cents,” she answered barely audibly.
“Well, what a coincidence,” smiled the man.
This strange customer took the little girl’s money in one hand and held her hand with the other and followed her to see her brother/parents. “Let’s see if I have the kind of miracle you need”.
That well dressed man was Dr Carlton Armstrong, a renowned neurosurgeon. The operation was completed without charge and it wasn’t long before her little brother, Andrew, was up on his feet. “That surgery,” her mom whispered, “was a real miracle.”
The little girl smiled. She knew exactly how much the miracle had cost... one dollar and eleven cents... plus the faith of a little child.
The Holy Ghost wants you to learn some things from the rugged determination of this little girl. 1) she was ready to get her miracle at whatever cost. Note that your miracle has a price which in most cases is labelled “Persistence and Faith”. Persistence is a refusal to quit! It is looking into the face of adversity  and saying “ I like my odds.” It is believing in a cause and being distracted by nothing!. Giving up on your goals because  of delays or setbacks is like slashing your other three tyres  because of your vehicle had a flat tyre. See Romans 8:32: “He that spared not His own son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” God cannot deny you anything good if you wait long enough because persistence and faith is the price of your miracle.

Perseverance can make miracle happen! Perseverance can create divine coincidences. Indeed, miracles can come in various forms – as a doctor, lawyer, teacher, pastor, divine helper showing up at the right time and at the right place where you need help the most, etc. This little girl refused to worry, took a “stupid” step of faith and refused to give up on her brother. Likewise, refuse to use your brain on how God will manifest that testimony. Refuse to imagine the ‘How?’
The only price you must determine to pay after this post, is HOLDING ON to the last second on your tiny cord of faith. A river cuts the rock not because  of its power, but because of its consistency. So was the stubborn lady in the above scripture (Luke). “Persistence, patience and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success” (Napoleon Hill). Never lose your hope! Keep walking towards your vision! God will show up even at the last minute through divine coincidence... through any means but He will show up! Hold on! Cheers!!
