There are more abusive relationships that we are aware of because people live pretentious lives or what Fela meant as 'smiling and suffering.' A man being abusive is not just by beating up his woman. There are worst injuries inflicted through other means of abuse which could be emotional/mental/psychological. This has driven some women to psychiatric homes, yet they still return back to that relationship.'Have you ever felt the need to strangle a loved one until she realizes that relationship will either kill her or she'll become a killer herself?' Everyone sees how wrong she's being treated, except her. Or she does but too helpless to walk away. The question then is why?

Life challenges are treacherous! they make you believe that's what your existence is all about; conquering challenges. But what you truly are, is; a CHALLENGE to life. Note; you're the challenge not what life presents to you because if the devil who's the 'father of all treacherousness' is to have his way you'll be 6feet under the ground. So, the fact that you're alive is a great challenge. Have you ever seen a champion lying on the floor, of course not! He's rises with his hands raised up above his head while people cheer. Even when he's too weak to do that, someone/the coach will give assistance for all to see and know the champion.

Wallow in Pain or Trust God in the Dark - Bob Gass
In life; anybody can be faithful in good times, but standing 'by night in the house of the Lord' takes real commitment.
A hundred years ago Germany's exclusive textile mills had special rooms dedicated to spinning the world's finest lace. Each room was dark, except for the light falling from a small window onto the weaver's work. That's because lace is more beautiful when the weaver is in darkness and his work is in the light. Usually God's purposes are revealed and His power displayed, in our darkest experiences when like Gideon you ask; 'if the Lord is with me, why has this.... happened?' When there seems to be no rhyme or reason, God's promises is " I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord... who calls you by name (Isaiah 45:3).

Difference Between Being Single at Twenties and at Thirties or Above.
Hmm! still want us to lean more on the light weight side before we bring back the heavy weight for the day. Well, you may not absolutely agree with me but I've tried to view the different perspectives of single ladies when they're in their twenties, more like early twenties though and when they get to thirties. Though, the pressure being mounted on ladies today is even promoting marriages at late teen and early twenties.

Fastest and Easiest Way to Get Rid of 'Pot Belle.'
Hmm! We've been on the heavy weight (talked much on serious issues) here for a while now, so, let's shed some of the weight off. Meaning; this post may not be exactly how you expect it to be hehehe!
Protruding stomach, popularly known as 'pot belle' is a legacy of African men and I can't tell if it's as a result of the much consumption of; fufu, akpu, eba, amala, opa...... etc. Though, there has also been insinuations that it has to do with much consumption of alcohol (beer). Sometimes, when some people see a man with such stomach, an argument about 'that guy dey bottle (takes much bottles of alchol)' ensued . As much as some of them probably tried to get rid of the pot in the belle, there isn't much progress. I guess, they're just too lazy to withstand the vigorous exercise Lol!

How the Greatest Consultant Fashioned George Washington's Life; The First American President.
The dream of George Washington was to join the Navy, but his mother, who was a widow raising her children alone, didn't like the idea. And trying to be brave, she agreed to let him follow his dream. The day he was to sail, she hugged him and said goodbye. And just before his departure, her emotion got hold of her and she started weeping uncontrollably. She has been through so much pain, raising her children all alone, she just couldn't endure letting go her son. George must not get on the ship. She needs him to stay back, be strong in helping the rest of them. As much as the young boy smartly dressed up to embark on such great journey, desperately wanted to go after his dreams, he chosed to stay back. Especially if it means adding to his mother's grief. Reluctantly, he returned his uniform and ordered his belongings to be ashore.

Today's Gentleman: What Women Expect You to be and What You Should Really Turn Out to be.
Today's gentleman privileged to be civilized but emotionally insensitive. As much as this does not apply to everyone of them, its difficult not to notice how some seems to carry themselves like modern day King of Babylon, that thinks he's bigger than God. Ughrrr! Don't grind your teeth just yet, please read what I have to write about what women expects today's gentleman to be

Why an Igbo Man Will Never Choose to go to War Again.
Okay! I had a good laugh and a serious thought over the conversation that ensued in the cab I was riding in, on my way from work. My fellow passengers talked non-stop about the appalling state of our nation; from terrible state of power supply to poor governmental leadership, funds thievery, lack of security and finally Biafra.

Why You Don't Need to go Searching for God Anymore!
We all search for God through different medium but the Christian life is a redemptive opportunity to be voraciously electrified with the in-dwelling of God's presence, bringing to the fulfillment the scripture 'where two or three are gathered together in my name, There, I am in the midst of them.' Afterall, you don't need to go searching for your parents to provide your needs when you live with them. So, is our father in heaven; who is ever faithful and just in granting the desires of His children.

Today's Single Woman: What Men Expect From You and What You Should Give in Return - 1
Today's single woman privileged to be civilized but morally
questionable. And this has given our men and the society the upper hand to shove down her throat their expectations. Of course! I agree with you, I can't say that about
everyone but then, if you know of a thing going wrong and don't say or
do nothing about it; its also questionable. In this situation, every woman is a
victim of a crime committed against herself in one way or the
other.
So, what do men expects from today’s single woman and what should she
give in return?

The Clash and Changes From the Lady You Were to the Woman You've Become.
Okay! So, I've heard so much about the sacrifices ladies have to make after marriage, that I'm beginning to wonder if I have to block my ears with wax when next one of my female folks comes wining? Lol! And of argument that married women are more indecently dressed these days than the single ladies. You know about the usual; the need to keep looking good for the man, restriction of movement/lack of freedom to come and go as thou pleaseth, the well maintained shaped being filled with water and fat after child birth, of course, it'll take a lot of discipline to have a semblance of what it used to be. And the mess being created on daily if not hourly basis by the children, the male folks not appreciative enough etc in the voice of my college days teachers.

Your Dream; A Promise You Make to Yourself.
Langston Hughes the famous
American poet once said “Hold on to your dreams because if dreams die, life is
a broken wing that can no longer fly." In Nigeria it is hard to dream, like the
only dream we are allowed to have is the one we have when we close our eyes to
sleep at night. From the day you are birthed, you hear people tell you about
stuffs that aren’t possible and how it can never be done! So for fear of being heartbroken
we settle for less of what we were destined to be, “pick a man now because soon
your time would pass!" Then my sisters settle for someone who isn’t their dream
man, “you can’t get that dream job o, many people have tried and failed!" We
then settled for jobs we know are beneath us and bosses who do not know our
worth and quite frankly never will.

The Man! His Ministry and His Mentor.
To every man God has assigned an assignment! Now! I’m talking
strictly of the male folks and not the entire human race. So, ‘if you're thinking what
a man can do, a woman can do better’ then you just may miss the line of
thought. A man with no assignment is the most dangerous man you can ever come
across. He drinks because everyone drinks, he gets married because everyone is doing so! Well,
back to the gentlemen knowing their well defined purpose in life and the steps of
whom, they should follow. A quick check with the first man on earth (Adam). I
believe the fear he must had felt in his heart when the Maker assigned the duty
of naming every created creature on earth was gripping. He must have doubted and wondered if he will not be naming an animal twice or giving the same name to two
different animals/plants. Maybe faint in heart but strong in the might and knowledge
of His maker taking real time to make these creatures.
I was Busy Praying to be Married to him While he was Walking Down the Aisle With Another Woman. Today! He Gets Angry Whenever he Sees me, Blaming me for his Unhappiness in Marriage.
Okay! I thought this story weird and our men should learn to actually realise that ladies are to be help-meet and not the bread winner.
How bright can a green light be? Should it be blinding
before guys notice it? Was the question I asked myself, when I got the
information that the man I’ve being fasting and praying to be married to is going
to marry someone else. It hurts more because we had become a bit close to being
friends. Yeah! But I had too many personal issues I was dealing with to give my
best at that time. Because he too was having his own challenges financially.
Funny how some men expect a working lady to split or probably foot the bills in
a relationship. We met at the time when I was picking myself up from a series
of bad relationships I had been involved in.

Snap Out of it: Hit the Delete Button.
Imagine living in a society where adulterers wear a scarlet letter and thieves wear a ball and chain. Imagine being identified only by your past."They probably deserve it," you say. Really? Jesus said if you look at a member of the opposite sex with lust in your eyes, you've committed adultery in your heart (Matthew 5:28). Ouch! Then he went on to say that the standard of judgement you impose on others, is the standard by which you'll be judged (Matthew 7:1-2). can you live with that? Now, God's not soft on sin. His love won't let you off. "The Lord disciplines those he loves" (Hebrews 12:6). But His love won't let you go (Romans 8:38-39).

What Happens When You Choose not to be Your Own Person?
Okay so I was on my own on Saturday, minding my own business
in the salon where I went to fix my hair and I met this really friendly girl
and we chatted for a bit and I went back to minding my own business. About an hour later a friend of hers came by
and then I just couldn’t help but notice how she criticized everything this
girl did, she started by saying “what type of hairstyle is this?” she
criticized her friend based on her own standards, I couldn’t help but notice
how she ended every statement with “like my own.” Please where can I ‘charge’
my I-Phone?” She asked speaking a little too loud; obviously, she wanted us to
know about her little gadget. After awhile, she started been generous with her
criticism as every hair in the salon wasn’t up to her standard, obviously ‘poor
township’ folks like us knew nothing about fashion.
