It came too fast
A rush from the past
That seems not to last
Like a lightening flash
It became a figment of memory.
What is the stress
That one can't find rest?
Casting a shadow of distress
As it speed past the crest
Is a man's hope to still the time.
Each tick brings light
From a great height
Glowing so bright
But draws close the night
As darkness envelope the day hours.
Yesterday left in doubt
Became today's thought
Which will be tomorrow's lot
A battle easily lost
Its a fight to hold unto time.
Each moments slips away
As a new one awakes
And we lie in wait
Like the making of a cake
We choose the taste each memory brings.
Cheers!
