Bayelsa Decides: INEC Cancels Election in Southern Ijaw LGA.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, officer in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State has announced cancellation of election in the area.

The cancellation became imperative following the incidence today, when INEC officials who were conveying election materials for the ongoing governorship election at Coastal Oporoma of the LGA, were held hostage by armed youths.

Also four reported killed  in the Southern Area of Ijaw Local Government as INEC Withdraws Corp members because violence rocks election in Nembe and Opotoma areas in Southern Ijaw.

Also, the immediate past President, Dr Goodluck Jonathan wife, Patience Jonathan suffered card reader malfunctions while trying to get accredited at today's Bayelsa Governorship poll.

The family had to return home and came back an hour later, were Jonathan and Pateince were successful, but not the mother.
