Nigerian Army Reveals Shocking Details of Terrorists Habitation in Sambisa Forest.

The Nigerian Army Chief of Staff, Tukur Buratai has attributed the delay in flushing out the Boko-Haram terrorists in Borno State from their habitation to the expanse of the Sambisa forest which he said is as big as Enugu.

Why we Flogged Protesting Women in Delta - Army Unit Commander

THE Nigerian Army Unit Commander stationed at Ovre-Eku community, Ethiope East Local Government Area, Delta State, Lt. E. D. Oworobo, has told a police source that the reason he ordered his men to flog the women who had embarked on a peaceful protest over a disputed land claimed by PRESCO Oil Company, was because they attempted to disarm his men.

A grouped of women were flogged by the Nigerian Army during a peaceful protest over land dispute which has lingered for years in Ovre-Eku, community, Ethiope East Local Government Area, Delta State.

Nigerian Air Force Dismissed Officer over Battering and Stripping Naked of a Nurse - Report.

Nigerian Air Force Officer, Mr Ovie Doghro has been dismissed from the Nigerian Army over gross mis-conduct. The said officer on the 5th of January 2016 , battered and stripped naked a nurse(Name with-held) over the death of his father at Delta State University Teaching Hospital Oghara. The incident occurred at the male ward of the hospital, where the nurse was attending to a patient but Mr Ovie Doghro insisted she attends to his father. However, before she could get to him, his father died.

Soldiers Allegedly Tortured a Young Man for Complementing a Female Soldier.

 According to the report:  "A Nigerian civilian who allegedly complemented a female Army officer, landed himself in 'hot soup'. He was said to have told the army officer that she was 'beautiful', instead of saying thank you or warning him, she and her colleagues took it upon themselves to punish him." Nigerian Military Commutes Death Penalty of 66 Soldiers to Jail terms.

PREMIUM TIMES: The death sentences by firing squad passed on 66 soldiers in January and March 2015 by separate General Court Martials have been commuted to 10 years imprisonment each, the spokesperson for the Nigerian Army, Sani Usman, has said.

Boko-Haram Chief Cameraman Arrested by Nigerian Army.

The Nigerian Army today released a press statement signed by  Ag. Director of Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman of the arrest of the insurgent Boko-Haram video cameraman in Borno State. The cameraman was listed as number 58 on the recently released list of Boko Haram's 100 most wanted terrorists.

Military Retreat: Dwindling Oil Revenue - Gov. Okowa Challenges Navy on Maritime Security.


AS Nigeria faces financial crisis as a result of dwindling revenue from oil resources, the Delta State Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has challenged the Nigerian Navy to ensure effective maritime security.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of a 2-day retreat for the Nigerian Navy in Asaba today (30/11/15), Governor Okowa decried high rate of piracy, crude oil theft, illegal bunkering, pipeline vandalism and other criminal activities in the nation's maritime domain.
