Do not Ride on Pride.
You have no idea what tomorrow holds in store for us, hence
there’s need not to be prideful or raise shoulders as many will say. As opportunity
has smiled on you today and raised you steps higher than your neighbour, same
way will it smile on someone else tomorrow. And that someone else might be somebody
you thought your shoulders were too high to lend to lean on or too
neat for his or her head.

Finding the Beam of your Dream.
Hello,
welcome to Ono Pink Journal (OPJ), In the voice of the black man in the movie ‘pretty
woman’ I ask ‘what’s your dream? Some dreams come true, some don’t but keep on
dreaming. However, let it be your dream, not you claiming someone else’s own. Because
you will lack the beam of that dream when you pursue a dream just for the
reason that; others are succeeding in it.

About Women's International Day: What Exactly did we Celebrate?
Women International day was celebrated yesterday and many took out time to write beautiful messages to celebrate women. However, I am forced to ask 'what are we celebrating' or 'why are we celebrating women?' I am asking because, we live in the most unsecured time in the world today. And those that are making it so happens to be someone's child/children who might have been a better person if properly raised, nurtured and loved by his or her mother as God leads them.

The Act without an Art – Nollywood Movies.
There is no doubt that Nollywood as a movie industry is
undergoing a revolutionary phase whereby many of us won’t have to watch their
movies just to kill time but because we find them interesting. But of course, there will always be the
torturous ones that Africa Magic will subject as many that can’t afford to
subscribe full DSTV package, go to the city to visit the cinema or buy tickets to watch.

Buhari too Old to Rule Nigeria - Nigerian Speaks out.
The Central Bank of Nigeria is obviously, currently losing the battle to arrest inflation and the unyielding slide in the Naira’s exchange rate. Regrettably, with inflation persistently closer to 10%, all static incomes have lost over 40% of purchasing values since 2010; thus, the laborer’s N18,000 minimum wage may just be worth less than N10,800 today. Instructively, however, spiraling inflation is, usually, primarily triggered by uncontrolled and liberal money supply. Consequently, monetary authorities in successful economies everywhere, endeavor to keep inflation below 2% by managing money supply.
Living in Today's World.
I have come to understand living in this world today there are people that have sealed their hearts and mind against any iota of kindness. They are ready to wreck havoc in all manners of evil in the lives of people. This is starting from the little lies against another, stealing from the masses, hiding the truth because of money, killings and not to mention the terror or the powers of darkness. And there are people who have turned a blind eye or deaf ears to all of these, inorder not to become victims themselves. Fear has gripped the heart of many and closed their mouth from say anything because of the repercussion and evil is on the wide spread.

The Race without Tracks.
In every race there are tracks to keep the runners/racers in the right direction. In most cases if anyone steps into another track, that person becomes disqualified. Some may have the stamina to run a 100, 200, 400...1500metere... race. But each of the race is with the goal to win a prize. But not everyone can win. Of course you should have been told or read; you win some or lose some. Whichever way you still need to stay on track when you run.

Why God Created you a Man or Woman.......?
Today's society growing in crime rate (Killings, kidnapping, terrorism...etc), moral decadence. Lives are no longer safe in all level of economic status. Then the questions are; these people are they humans? or are they not born of a woman to a man? Were they born with such evil intention or is developed? Series of questions to asked and every man or woman role to be re-evaluate in raising people that can better impact the society. This is not blame shifting but;

Let them Criticise you, It may Benefit you.
Let them criticise you while you learn to benefit from it. There are two kinds of criticism:
1) Unjust criticism; one day Henry Ward Beecher went to his church to preach. As the great orator placed his Bible on the pulpit he noticed a blank sheet of paper with the word 'fool' written on it. Beecher's keen sense of humour seized the moment. He lifted the paper for all to see, then his booming voice filled the church as he announced, 'Generally I received letter from people who write and forget to sign their name. This letter is different. The person has signed his name and forgotten to write the letter.' Jesus said 'offences will come' (Luke 17:1). So expect them. And remember attack is a sign of respect. You're getting noticed. You're making a difference. So. when you are criticised unjustly, forget it and move on. Jesus did.

Yesterday Came Too Late!
How many times have you wished you could turn back the hands
of time, In order to do or undo some things you did wrong or wish to do right in your life?
Maybe more times than you wish to admit and yet, no matter how hard you try to
wish or pray, the time won’t just reverse. Rather it keeps its stead
tick to the next day. Unless, you get to live in the fairy tale world, precisely the
world of Cinderella part 3. Of course you’d laughed at the absurdity and
unrealistic notion. But that haven’t stopped
one from wishing or praying because even when we can’t turn back the hands of
time, we can get to do better with the next tick.

Your Cinderella without her Fairy god-mother.
Have you seen some couple and a look at them, you wonder "what did he
see in her?" Well, it is obvious its exactly what you didn't see. Man is
mostly good at judging each other by outward appearance because that's
what they have access to see at first look. But when it comes to
relationships, you'll need more than beauty to enjoy being with each
other. Remember the saying "beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder." In
essence, it is not necessarily the outward appearance that determines
how beautiful a woman is but her personality/attitude/character. Everything that makes her human.

Being Real is the Truth Hidden in Every Lie.
Some years ago I read about what Marybeth Whalen wrote: 'The painters painted the wall leading downstairs....A week later I discovered while the wall had been repainted, the habits hadn't changed. The kids still were dragging their dirty hands behind them, making what was white and clean, grey and dirty. Like that wall, if I'm not careful I can cover up what's there; wear the Christian t shirt, carry my Bible, smile like everything is great, and talk a good game about my walk with the Lord. But deep inside the ugly old habits are... waiting to be revealed the moment life gets messy. I can become the modern day Pharisee who focuses on the white wash and ignore the dirty stuffs underneath.

And the World Needs Bail!
Everyday, we wake up to read or hear one, two or more heartrending
stories of the atrocities/disasters going on around the world and the
ills of man against man. And we wonder how we got here. A dear brother
spilling another blood; a sister spear heading the ruin of another; a
man passing judgment on another, you'll say its a strange world we've
come to live. Which has brought nothing but imbalance of what we have or
long to have. All leading to more evil. Somehow criminals get pardoned,
right morals become wrong ones; good is being dominated by bad and
gradually becoming the best according to a confused world dweller who
claims to be modernized or civilized. Ask them what is civilization when
you can't understand the upturned realization of an ideal world
today?

The New Wine in an Old Wine Skin - World Politically Accepted Norm.
Congratulations to the British Prime Minister, David Cameron. I've read
publications about how surprise some people are with his re-election and
I got thinking about the bible verse Matthew 9:17 which says: Neither
do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the
wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new
bottles, and both are preserved. And I can't help but observe the
contrast of this to today's world's politics.

Get it Now! No Need to Wait for Pay Day.
In the US, a big credit card company has a TV commercial with the
slogan, 'you can have it all now!' That certainly made someone happy
because of the need to purchase a particular item without waiting for
the pay check. All that's needed is to put it on credit card. Better
yet, in developing countries like Nigeria, you get the offer of
installmental payment. Some to be deducted from your salary or you
gradually pay yourself. Before you realise it, a huge percentage of your salary
goes for installmental payment. And what's left can barely satisfy your
needs. And more debt is acquired months after months. Year after year,
automatically, its accepted you can't get out of debt. But you can if
you try. With so much on installment, its time to stop taking the bait
and get out of debt not deeper into it. Because at this moment you feel
helpless in this hole you've dug for yourself. These four principles should help. Hey! Its a good way to start.

My Meat For Your Poison.
The world is filled with insatiable needs of man and different desires. What I have may be what you're dreaming to have and what you have is my dream. There's a void to be filled or a gap to be bridged in my life with what you have. So is my thought. Unfortunately or fortunately that happens to be your thought. How can this be arranged? Becomes a thousand naira question. Seriously! It isn't worth a million naira. Because this world is made perfectly imperfect by the different possessions in our custody. The one million Naira question is "how long do you intend longing for someone else's possessions?"

We live in a world were Psychologists have classified our temperaments into four categories that's the fundamental human personalities as follows:

- The Choleric: Bad tempered and quiet.
- The Melancholy: Analytical and quiet.

Though, it has being specified that an individual may possess more than one temperament. And these were furthered grouped into two:
The Introvert (indoor personality) which are the phlegmatic and melancholy.
The extrovert (outdoor personality)which are the sanguine and choleric.
The present world's population is nothing less than 7 billion. In essence, humans tend to act or behave in similar way sometimes.
