Oil Producing Communities to Benefit from DESOPADEC in Okowa's Led Administration.

THE Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) has restated its commitment to ensuring that oil bearing communities in the state benefit immensely from the Gov. Okowa's led administration.


Chief Pius Ovhije (POC) , the Commissioner representing Ughelli North and Ethiope East LGA on the board of DESOPADEC stated this during a town hall meeting with the community leaders and stakeholders in Orhoakpor Zone Oil Field held on Friday 11/12/2015.

He stated that, "with the bottom – top approach of projects execution given to them by the Governor, Sen. Dr. Ifaenyi Okowa,, there is sure to be more DESOPADEC projects based on the needs of the people, and that is why I am here to actually know what you want."

All our projects are going to be as a result of the needs of the people. It is what the people want that we will execute for them, and we will continue to execute projects for the benefit of the people.” He added.
In appreciation of the visit, the President-General of Orhoakpor community thanked the commissioner for coming to their community to actually know what they want. He then pledged the community's support for the commission.
