Thief Dies After Sustaining Gun Shot Wounds.

Security system in this country is yet to match the rate of crime increase in our society today. Some days ago, a man,  Mr Eddy was robbed of N500,000 he withdrew from the bank. The robbers had tailed him to where he stopped to shop in a well known mall at Ugbeyiyi junction in Sapele. By the time he got out of the mall, his car was burgled and money taken.

Police Nabs Pastor Performing Ritual Activities in Church Premises.

A pastor in Benin was arrested yesterday after a neighbour saw him performing ritual activities in his church premises by the Edo State Police Command. It has been alleged that the pastor who is identified as Apostle Ikenna Okafor buried charms in the church premises.

Nigerian Army Parades Oil Thief Gang in Bayelsa.

The Military operation which is known as"Operation Pulo Shield" on Thursday,  paraded an oil theft gang made up of five members.

It is believed the gang operated in the Sangala creek a waterway located in the Ijaw Local Government Area (LGA) in Bayelsa State.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan cousin who is a Commissioner for Local Government in Bayelsa State, Madam Serefina Otazi,was kidnapped on Sunday, shortly after the kidnapping the sister of Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson sister in Yenagoa.

Delta State Deputy Governor Accused of Sponsoring Tompolo Alleged Protest Against EFCC.

The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Kingsley Otuaro, who's a relative of Tompolo is being accused of releasing N30 million to aid him in the alleged protest he intends to stag against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on Friday at Warri.

This was revealed to Opuowei Brisbe  by one of the aide to the deputy governor. And each youth that's willing to join in the protest will be given a sum of N10,000 each.

Man Sentenced to Two Years Imprisonment for Fraudulent Act.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on November 15, 2015 secured the conviction of an internet fraudster, Egbeniyi Oluwafemi( a.k.a Raymond Morrison, Mavis Mar and Markus Fred), who was sentenced to two years imprisonment by Justice A.M Liman of the Federal High Court, Benin, Edo State.

Tompolo Gave Money to Urhobo Youth Council to Help in Instigating a Protest Against EFCC - Report.

There are reports that Government Ekpemupolo popularly known as Tompolo who is currently on the run from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has given money to the Urhobo youth council UYC boys led Terry Obieh to join him and others to instigate protest against EFCC.

6 Arraign for N1.2bn Pension Scam: Court Rejects Plea Bargain

The accused persons-Ibrahim Ahmed Mazangari, Muhammed Sani Sulaiman, Hajia Fatima Mazangari and Saleh Yerima Tsojon- are being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on a 29-count charge bordering on conspiracy and collecting by false pretense.

$2b Arms Procurement Scandal: Jonathan Debunked Claim.


Former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, yesterday, during a forum where he spoke at Washington DC, debunked allegations that his administration awarded contract for arms procurement to the tune of $2 billion.

Jonathan, speech was centered on "Presidential elections and democratic consolidation in Africa: Case studies on Nigeria and Tanzania," a conversational forum, co-hosted by the National Democratic Institute (NDI) and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), stated categorically that "I did not award any $2 billion contract for procurement of weapons."

Sophisticated Tunnel Used for Trafficking Drugs Discovered on Mexico-US Border.

A sophisticated  tunnel which is used to traffic large quantity of drugs, marijuana from Mexico to USA was discovered on Wednesday. This happens to be the longest and more sophisticated tunnel ever found on both countries border.

The passage is said to be about 2,600 feet long and 9feet deep. The tunnel is ventilated and built with metals beams to prevent it from collapsing.
