The height of a person’s foolishness is exposed in the state
of stupor. He or she’d tell you he/she moved mountain to get where he/she is
while he/she only rested on a piece of rock. Or probably slay a lion but squish
when a rat crossed his/her path. Many times but not, a person of pride will
boast of what he/she doesn’t own but dream of. Oh of course he/she does have
some possession but not nearly as much as you’ve been made to believe. Proverbs
11:2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.
Also, a person’s secret could easily be exposed in such state
of stupor. His/her mouth speaks faster than the rate at which his/her mind is functioning
reasonably. Before he/she realises it he/she has spoken much more than he/she
intends. And words are too quick to evapourates into thin air never to be retrieved.
The distance pride can take you; humility will take you much further than that.
The greatest of a win is staying humble in the midst of such rejoicing. A win
is the turning of one’s mourning into dancing, being favoured or whatever good things that happen in a man’s life Psalm 30:11, which
could become better if he/she doesn’t turn it into a gin. To avoid such one
should:
Stay the point: You
might find it easier after being successful to forget the past (especially if
it is a humble beginning) and not to worry about the future but the point is that;
the present won’t last forever. The
earth is constantly rotating and people are on the go. If you get it good today
be assure someone will get it better tomorrow. I hope that someone isn’t one
you’ve looked down upon yesterday. You know you won’t forget that!
Love differently: Many times I have had course to wonder how
do some people get it wrong with all of the talents and gifts the Lord has
trusted them with? Then I remember the parable of the talents in Mathew 25:14-30.
You should read it. He could only see who the master was instead of who he
could be. Learn to love even when the people don’t deserve it. Forget! If those
same people prayed for your lose. The secret is; it will multiply your win just
as it happened with the first servant.
Steer: At one point in
time someone will get it right while another will get it wrong. If you’ve found
the right way to win and keep it. Steer others in that same direction. The more
win we get, the greater peace man will enjoy. Simply lend a helping hand to the
falling, because you could be needing that same hand to pull you up tomorrow.
Never let your win become a gin. It is the ruin of tomorrow’s
beauty. Have a beautiful Saturday. Cheers!
