Tears could be a sign of weakness, an expression of love or pain outlet.
There are occasions we fight hard to hold back tears. It could be out of pride,
shame and sheer stubbornness. You just don’t want to give the person the
satisfaction of seeing you give in and break down in tears. Other occasions,
one is encouraged to cry, to let it all out because the tears will help lessen the pain. It seems it just washed it all away.
However, not
every time you feel like it, you should give free rein to tears especially when you
are entitled to have joy in abundance. So whenever, you find yourself in any
damning situation you must learn to gear up:
Stop the
pity party: There’s one man in the bible I can’t help not talking about more
these days, I am sure you admire him too and that’s King David the son of
Jesse. He could have chosen to have supported his jaw with his hands and cry
his eyes out when his lamb was taken by wild animals, but he pursued and killed
the animals. 1 Samuel 17:34 And David
said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and
a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: And I went out after him, and smote
him, and delivered it out of
his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. You’ve got a
choice to tell a ‘pity’ or ‘success’ story.
Get your Shield:
Again David proved this necessarily must not be some great iron looking wear
but your complete and absolute trust in God, Ephesians
6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to
quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.Run: Don’t you dare think I mean ‘run away’ nah! Because you’re to run towards your problem, seek it out and deal with it. As they say “who dey come dey fear and who dey go dey fear”. The devil is very much afraid of you as much as you are of him that’s if you are. It is now a matter of who’s bold enough to stand his or her ground without wavering. Again, take a cue from David in 1 Samuel 17:48 And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came and drew nigh to meet David, that David hasted, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine..
Fight alone:
Yes! It is true we need a spiritual head over us but in the world we live in
today with all manners of deceit, you need to wage your own war, so that, you don’t
get to add more battles to it. If your faith is in place, your miracle will be
delivered just as the woman with the issue of blood had to testify, Mark 5:21-43. Again David
took gigantic Goliath all by himself not a prophet. The devil recognises God’s
people Acts 19:15 And the evil spirit
answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? And from
the moment you accept the Lord Jesus as your personal Lord and saviour you’ve
got nothing to worry about but putting your faith to work and become a sign
and wonder.
Cheers!
