A property belonging to the Delta State Speaker of the house RT. Hon. Igbuya is presently on fire. This property is located in Otomewo road, Sapele where some of his relatives resides. Hopefully fire service will be able to curtail the progress of the fire to avoid razing down the entire building.
This is shortly after some stores in Sapele main market was completely burnt down by fire (Attached Photos), which was reported began mid-night. The cause of fire is still unknown but there are stipulations; it is as a result of the indiscriminate powering of Light and burning of dirt along the road side.
Stores containing goods worth millions of naira were destroyed and the people are appealing to all relevant governmental bodies to come to their aid. Especially in putting in place all the elements that can help curtail any major disaster in the future, such as; A functional fire service station, BEDC proper installation and restoration of electricity, proper waste disposal management etc.
This fire incident although happens to be the major one is not the only disastrous experience in Sapele. Click
