Appeal Tribunal sitting in Benin city today on 14th Dec, 2015 dismissed in its entirety Hon Halims Agoda election petition Appeal Case against Senator Ighoyota Amori based on the following:
(1) Use of manual accreditation is legal.
(2) Card readers are meant to complement manual accreditation.
(3) Over voting can only be said to have taken place if the number of votes cast is more than what is in the voters register and NOT card readers.
(4)Violence during the elections could not be proved as the onus of prove lies with the petitioner.
(5) INEC complied with the Electoral law in the conduct of the election of March 28th and April 25th Delta central senatorial district elections.
