Members of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have refused to give up their fight for the actualization of Biafra. They began a protest since yesterday, demanding for the release of Kanu Nnamdi, the director of Radio Biafra
The protesters blocked the River Niger bridge which connects Asaba-Onitsha, hampering all movements today, 1st of December, 2015.
Soldiers are said to have placed barricade on the road, disrupting the agitators from crossing the bridge.
Kanu who's presently under the custody of operatives of the State Security Services (SSS) was arrested on Sunday, October 18, 2015 when he arrived Nigeria from UK. His case which was to be held today was postponed because of the death of the Magistrate's father.
Helicopters are seen with Nigeria flags flying around Asaba.
