It is so because we often forget the greatness of his might and love for us. Hence, there’s need to continuously ponder on His wonderful works and be always be boastful. That way, we won’t forget even when the storm comes slamming against the walls of protection and faith just as David didn’t let the sight of a giant diminish his understanding of the Lord’s mightiness. So what will happen when you keep pondering on God’s great wonders?
- It will give you wisdom to know the weapon to use in fighting your battles: 1 Samuel 17:39-40; And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him. And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine. One thing I have learned in life is that you don’t use the same method the enemies are using to fight them back. Because they already know how it works. They are trained with such weapons for such fights. Besides you might not be conversant with such so, you develop divine method which they might think is foolishness and overlook it until they are down on the floor with you stepping over them. And that means finding that which the Lord has deposited in you to weather through the storm. In case of David, he remembered how well he could manage the catapult. Ponder on God’s wonders and you will know what to do.
- To bring down the enemy: 1 Samuel 17:49; And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth. It’s that simple. Boast of the Lord’s wonders and your enemies will be on the floor as it in Revelation 12:11; And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
- It will make men to celebrate you: 1 Samuel 18:7; And the women answered one another as they played, and said, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands. Your ability to conquer life challenges is what will make you stand tall in the midst of others. The fact that the war is fierce now, it means it is coming to an end. Don't lose hope.
- It will create more enemies: Be rest assured the greater you are in life the greater the numbers of your enemies but Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them 2 Kings 6:16. The Lord will fight for you and you’ll continuously be victorious but never forget what he did yesterday for He will do greater works today and tomorrow.
Okay! We will let our hands rest here but always remember I care and keeping you in my prayers. Be kind to do same for me and our nation’s peace. Cheers!
