The scripture above has made me understand there are no
challenges in life that are insurmountable. It can look mountainous and fierce
like the raging storm but cannot with stand your travailing powers when
enforced. Again; for as soon as Zion travailed,
she brought forth her children. In essence, you cannot prevail when you
do not travail. There’s no child born without the mother having to push hard. The
ones that lost strength to push eventually have to be operated upon and the sad
story of some can be easily envisage.
Take a look at the situation of the Israelites (Exodus 14) and Jesus (Matthew 14:22-33) when
faced with the sea. In the case of the Israelites, the red sea had to path for
them to walk on dry ground. But that was not the case with Jesus, He walked on
the water. He emphasised His power of dominion over the situation. Honestly, if
Jesus had waited for the sea to path before walking to the ship, He definitely
would have taken a longer time. When you travail, you become indomitable to life challenges whenever, wherever and however you are faced with them
How does one then travail?
In prayers: there’s no lie when they say ‘a prayerful
Christian is a powerful one’. When you light a fire, it will be sustained when
there’s a sustaining substance like the gas, kerosene etc. When that get
finished, it stops burning. So is the act of prayer. Your prayer life is your
fuel tank. You must travail to keep it filled or else the emptiness will be
filled with whatever life finds to fill it with. Life is worth celebrating only
when you are or you have something worth celebrating.
In Praise and thanksgiving: I have come to know ‘you can’t be
thankful without being praiseful’ but ‘you can be praiseful without being thankful’.
It is what we called lip service praise and many are fond of rendering such. Of course
you should know, you can praise someone without truly meaning the words coming
out of your mouth. You just praise to make the person happy because of reasons very
well known to you. And you do know, that can work with men but not with the LORD who search the heart, test the mind, even to
give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings,
Jeremiah 17:10. So, what the Lord finds in your heart is what you will
get. However the heartfelt praise is the one that lifts you up to heights, many
have never taught of climbing. The question that will be asked is: Who
has heard such a thing? who has seen such things?
In Love: There is so much strife in the world
today that one is forced to ask where many have discarded their humanity. The need
to be the best and remain the best is the new virus eating up many lives. The devil
need not do anything anymore; man is practically destroying man for worldly
artifice that will mean nothing to him in the grave. But love lives on from
after generation to generation. Honestly, you should ask mother Theresa when
years after now, you get to meet her.
In all, after travailing
in prayers, remember to give thanks and praise to God and show love to all men.
To the Lord
our God most high, the incomparable father who watches over us at all time, to
Him be all the glory for this blessed day! Love you and will keep you in my
prayers. Be kind to do same for me and the nation we live in. Have the most
beautiful day!
Reminder: It is Wednesday, find time to attend mid-week service. God is probably waiting for you to beautify your life. if you believe it, you will see and live it. Cheers!!
