DESOPADEC Denies Spending N50million on End of Year Party.

The Special Assistant to the of Delta State Governor on Social media. Godspower Omafuvwe Asiuwhu has call on Deltans to disregard recent publication made by Fejiro Oliver/Secret reporter alledging that the board of DESOPADEC spent N50million for a common staff Christmas party.

Asiuwhu, who described Fejiro Oliver as an unfriendly friend of the Gov. Okowa's led administration who is roaming about just like the devil seeking for whom to devour through negative and frivolous reports that are unfounded, noted that the present board of DESOPADEC is made up of prudent managers and Could not have squandered N50million on an End of Year. He said that the End of the year get-together party which was done on a low key was necessary because it is the first end-of-year that the new board is witnessing with the staffs of the commission.

He stressed that companies/organisations engaged in end-of-year parties to show their appreciation towards their staff. " Staff can often feel cheated and unappreciated." The SA also said that as much as most companies/organisations are experiencing the financial crunch occasioned by the dwindling oil prices,  it is vital that they make every effort to ensure that their staff is happy.

" If a company is considering not having the end of year party, it is wise to consider the impact on staff moral," he advised. .
