Governor Okowa SA Accused of Stealing from the Masses.

The Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa SA on Community Youth Development, Gen. Emeke Asiwe has been accused of collecting money from Ika North (Agbor) indigenes for the installation of transformer.


Opuowei Brisbe was the first person to publicly accused the SA on his Facebook wall of collecting N30,000 each from residents of deeper life street and its environs, for installation of the electricity transformer. This is after the dispatching of transformers to communities by the Government.

However, the allegation was denied by Ika Community landlord Association chairman and Members  on Deeper Life Street Agbor, according to a publication made by Ossai Ovie.

Shortly after that publication, a group of activist, Delta Alliance for Absolute Accountability took to their Facebook wall again to counter the denial. And pleaded with Emeke Asiwe to stop tarnishing the image of the Governor.

According to report: The said transformer given to the community, that the government duly paid for all cost of purchase and installations and from reliable information the state government has settled all necessary charges for the said transformer that the leader is at the time planning with the contractor to manipulate the general public, Using the name of the Governor and his position as one of his aides to collect money for his selfish and personal gains.
